Ali & Charles

Ali had a crush on Charles since she was a kid however that initial obsession melted away when she fell for Emil and then broke her heart. Now she is back and while she does have some unresolved business with Alaric, she can instantly feel the chemistry with the new barn owner. Unlike most, she ignores his aloofness and can give him the same. Thinking chemistry, flirting, something casual and see where it goes/morphs?

Their parents think them a match, these two? There was never any animosity but neither was there love. They use their relationship to their convenience and to put up appearances though neither really cares much for the other. 

Alaric Montgomery

Ali & Emil

These two have a complicated history. They were the best of friends growing up, then there was love, then there was sex and then there was heartbreak. They haven't seen each other in years and being back in the place where it started triggers a bunch of emotions. Seeing as they have both matured and gained experience, it will be interesting to see how they balance their issues and become friends once more? Not sure if Emil would be jealous seeing her dating again or what his emotions will be? 

Emilio Capitani

Ali & Luther

I can see them having a good, solid friendship. They are both passionate horse folk and know how to find the best horses. Ali would likely seek his opinion about her imports and their potential, ask him for lessons to be an extra pair of eyes and perhaps get on her hoses once in a while for a schooling from someone who rides differently. She respects his expertise and likes his style.

Luther Guthrie

Lilah & Emil
I feel like they could have met through show jumping lessons and showing at the stable. Delilah is a bit competitive by nature, but they could bond over their spirit. She's not much of a partier unless it's formal events. But they could have developed a friendship via competing together and she can find his flirting a bit overwhelming at first, but not overly upset by it.

Lilah & Luther
I think she would probably go to him sometimes between lessons for advice. She usually hangs around the stable a lot when she has spare time from her job. They could have a bit of a friendship that way.

Lilah & Alaric
Delilah is currently training in Dressage and I feel like they would be instant rivals. She doesn't like his attitude toward people and maybe confronts him once when she sees him sabotage another rider. Rivals in the ring and enemies outside maybe?

Rough timeline for them as it stands now (open to change and modifications)

• Bonding over Bear - The first time Ali opens up a bit about John and Bear (Barracuda) to Charles, showing a deeper emotional capacity. 
• You need more coaches  - Ali offers her services as a show jumping coach for the junior riding team (optional? Can be moved around in timeline)
• Winter Gala - Charles and Ali talk at the ball but are interrupted by Alaric and Kayleigh. After the gala, Ali throws a drunk tantrum yelling at Charles and he kisses her (one off) which shocks both of them. They go back to being extremely professional and distant, albeit awkward (cold?)
• Summer Storm - Ali is stranded at the barn during a storm so Charles forces her to wait it out at his house, cute moment here, talking and getting to know each other
• Good Luck Show - Ali kisses Charles as a joke before her round at the show where she represents Whittemore 
• Miss me, kiss me - About 6 months later, Ali is pressured to move forward with wedding. She comes to vent to Charles (as they became friends-ish) and that is when he tells her she can do so much better. She kisses him and they end up making out. 
• Cut off princess - Ali is cut off by her parents when she breaks up with Alaric. Charles offers her a room in the barn apartment. Ali is disappointed as she thought he wanted her (look above)
