AMAB, A grew up in an upper middleclass home with an older sister. One parent being a lawyer and the other a dentist, they were always pushed academically to go to college and get a well-paying job. But ambition was never a strong point, and while A did not struggle academically, they put in just enough effort to get by with average grades. After finding out their love for horses as a young teenager A became mildly obsessed. A’s parents realised the passion was not fleeting in nature and proceeded to put all their energy into getting A into the top leagues: the best horse, equipment, and trainer that they could afford. But A never really fit in with the ambitiousness of their peers, feeling isolated from both the male and female presenting riders, not knowing where they really fit in.
As a young 20-something A finally figured out who they wanted to be and what they wanted to do, and while their parents were not exactly supportive, they did not reject A’s coming out. Within a few months, A packed up their meagre belongings and moved away to the quaint town of Breckenwood, joining the Whittemore Estate as an eventing rider a short time before everything all went down.
When Sweetridge Farms was established, A wasted no time in changing over, preferring the more relaxed and tranquil nature the newer stable offered over the intensity and competitiveness of the original stable. Choosing to live life at their own pace, A resides within town as a part-time barista, open to whatever the future may bring.
