Charles was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. His father, the late John Whittemore, was a prominent figure in town and he spared his children no expense. He was on horses before he had even learned to walk, and was showing by the time he was a toddler. The finest instructors and the most expensive horses were his to have. Naturally, such an environment didn't teach Charles much in the way of compassion. To him, if you didn't have the best, where you even serious about being a competitive equestrian?

With his father's passing, Charles and his younger sibling inherited the stables and everything that came with it. They did not agree on how the stables should be ran, so Charles bought out his younger siblings shares and runs the facility himself. He has high expectations for his clients and runs a tight ship, keeping the stable operating smoothly and efficiently. Of course he still makes it a priority to show at the highest levels.
